Oh dear God ...
I'm sure most people saw, but yesterday the whole of the centre of Exeter was evacuated, after an idiot fiddled with a bomb in Giraffe restaurant. Luckily, it didn't detonate as it should've done ... but if it had, it would've caused a lot more damage. In this instance, the only person to have been harmed was the twat who set it up in the first place, so the word of the day is ... karma.
I was at work, a mere 100 metres away from 'ground zero', and we were watching out of the windows as everything around us was evacuated, and we were left working ... as though nothing was happening ...
It was overheard at first that we were going to be moved out, away to safety ... then one of the managers appeared - looking far from pleased - and said to Mum that no, we wouldn't be leaving the building ... the police had been told that we were 'fine where we were' ...
Gotta love how our fates were decided by someone else ...
And then phones ... love for phones ... not ...
Mine, which I have only had since January 22nd, is now needing a replacement ... the keys are not doing what they should be ... and it's so annoying when trying to text people!!
so ... I have to lose my gorgeous Motorola RAZR2 V8 in Espresso Black ...
I'm hoping to get either an LG Viewty ... or a Samsung Soul ... but we shall see what the Orange shop has in stock tomorrow ...
Now I've gotta head off ... because I'm supposed to have been making a card for my brother & sister-in-law's anniversary on Sunday ... and I haven't even started yet!
Fortunately, I have the brand new copy of Let's Make Cards, and the supplied kit, to hand ... so I don't have to go rummaging under my bed for the rest of my things!!
