I HATE ORANGE SHOPS!!I have been an Orange contract customer for over three years, and an Orange customer for over four ... I have never, ever had a problem with them before ... until now.
As mentioned in my previous blog, my phone is broken - the keypad isn't working properly. I was told by a friendly techy guy yesterday that because I'm working and therefore wont be at home today to take delivery of a replacement, I could go into any store and they would exchange it there, no questions asked.
Easy peasy, thought I ... until lunchtime when I went to the Orange shop and they decided that no, because my contract was initiated online, and all of my dealings are through the Orange Direct, Orange Retail cannot replace my phone, it has to be done by the courier.
Cue one very very stroppy Roni, shouting at one guy because he was so unhelpful, then storming into the other Orange shop that Exeter has ... luckily there I found a young girl who was a little more helpful ... but still said no go on the replacement. However, she did call through to Orange Tech Dept, and put a complaint in about the nice techy bloke I spoke to, because he should not have given me that information.
But it means that I have my dodgy phone for at least another day ... because I cant rearrange replacement for tomorrow cos I'm at work ... so it will have to be Monday ...
And apparently, no changing of the phone - I entered into a contract with the handset also, so even though it is faulty, I cant change it until my contract is up ... next June =/ (2009)
Never mind ... at least it's a little bit quieter in work ... although I haven't eaten yet because I spent my lunch hour in Orange shops ...TNTRoni xox
